From July 26–31, 2025, the 7th Annual Urban Mission Trip took place in Atlanta, in collaboration with City Takers, which is a faith-based organization whose aim is to reach the lost, restore the broken, and activate the church. This year’s team, made up of seven passionate members from across the U.S. and Canada, united to serve the homeless and low-income communities of the city. Over the course of four impactful days, the team engaged in a variety of outreach efforts, including ministering to the homeless, serving meals, leading worship, distributing food, and assembling back-to-school backpack kits. The team also volunteered at a local food pantry and spent time at a local laundromat, sharing faith and encouragement with those they met. Our Diocesan Episcopa, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos spent a whole day with the team of volunteers on Wednesday, July 30, and engaged in the various activities along with the team.
