Nagaland Development Outreach
Established in 1999, Nagaland Development Outreach (NDO) is the first and largest indigenous development organization in the region. Created as the social development wing of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), NDO was formed to address the rising socio-economic challenges affecting both church members and the wider community.
As a full-fledged development agency, NDO is registered under NGO DARPAN, the Societies Registration Act of 1860, and the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. The organization is dedicated to discovering and utilizing human potential to foster sustainable, wholesome improvements in all spheres of life through active people’s participation.

These centres serve diverse groups, including various Naga tribes and migrant populations from neighbouring states and mainland India. Children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds were selected from these areas and are supported by local project staff (one teacher and one helper), who are responsible for conducting programmes at the community level. The Project Coordinator and Accountant provide overall support for the successful functioning of these centres.

As a holistic development initiative, the programme supports children in multiple areas, including education, physical development, value-based learning, and socio-emotional growth.
We sincerely thank our sponsors and donors for their continued support of the Light to Life Dimapur Unit and the Tribal Children’s Home. Your generosity goes beyond meeting basic needs—it provides hope, stability, and a brighter future for these children.
We also extend our gratitude to the Mar Thoma Mission Board, New York, and Holistic Child Development India for their guidance.

Tribal Children Home LTL unit
NDO Light to Life has a Tribal Children Home situated at NDO HRDC, Nikhekhu in Niuland District. It was started in the year 2024. We have 77 children from different Naga tribes selected under 22 Tribal Church Associations recommended by their local churches. Children at the Tribal Children Home are orphans, poor children from Nagaland. Some of the children are from those villages where there is no middle school as well as high school. Some children are from the remote area where there is no proper communication. So looking at the scenario of the villages as this was the need of the hour to make them someone and make their dreams into a reality. We are very grateful to Mar Thoma Mission Board Light to Life Program for sponsoring the hostel Project. We have two wardens and two cooks to look after the LTL Tribal Children Home.
