The CARD – Light to Life Project, Palsai, at the Gyan Jyoti Development Centre, serves 50 children from farming families across Palsai, Dabke Pada, Devika Pada, and Bhagat Pada in Palghar District, Maharashtra. The project is supported by IMTWS trustees who travel over 70 km monthly to provide monitoring and guidance. With a coordinator, two qualified teachers, and a cook, the center ensures daily tuition, academic support, and safe transport for children. Alongside academics, children are encouraged to participate in sports, cultural celebrations, and creative activities that build confidence, discipline, and teamwork. Teacher–parent meetings further strengthen engagement, ensuring that families remain actively involved in their children’s progress.
The project has made a strong community impact, with parents expressing deep satisfaction over their children’s growth in obedience, discipline, hygiene, and overall behaviour. Annual sports competitions, festival celebrations, and social activities foster unity and instill values of cooperation and responsibility. By combining education, recreation, and cultural exposure, the project has become a center of hope for rural families, nurturing disciplined, confident, and responsible children who contribute positively to their families and the wider community. With committed leadership and staff, the Palsai Project continues to build trust and inspire long-term educational and social transformation in the region.
